Day 4 - VA Beach

One of the great things about VA Beach is that they have this small playground right on the beach for the kids to enjoy. This was perfect for us! Anytime Austin got a little cranky and had enough of the water, we would walk down to the playground and play for a while. He really seemed to enjoy it too. Sometimes playgrounds and parks can be "hit or miss" with Austin but he seemed to really like this one.

Austin mastered climbing the pseudo rock wall by himself very quickly. This is definitely an improvement all around with his gross motor skills.

Slides just never get old with Austin. They are always FUN FUN FUN!

Here is another great shot of Austin climbing the rock wall and Casey there to intervene in case of an emergency. :)

These last 2 pictures are taken at the VA Beach Aquarium and Marine Science Center. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!! Most of the exhibits are under construction so you really don't see much. Our trip there was quite short too. When we got there Austin was asleep so we stealthily put him in his stroller without waking him up and proceeded to partake in the aquarium. When he finally woke up he FREAKED OUT! I guess it was b/c he feel asleep in the car and woke up in this dark and strange looking place and he got scared. So we ended up going to the children's play area to let Austin get out and run around (that is where these pictures are from) and then leaving after that.

This shows Austin "scaling" the rock wall. :)
