Today we went to the annual Water Mine Family Swimmin' Hole party hosted by Autism Society of America Northern VA Chapter. They partner with Water Mine every year to provide a day of swimming to families (COMPLETELY FREE) who are members of their organization. How cool is that??? :)
I just have to say first how much I love this place! AND SO DOES AUSTIN! :)
The day started out a little "iffy" b/c of the weather. The high today was only supposed to be around 80 degrees with a chance of rain. We decided go ahead and attend and swim for as long as we could before the rain started. I'm so glad we did! Austin had such a great time. We went a couple of times last year but this year Austin did even better. He did not need Casey or myself to help him up or down the slides and he really didn't even need us to catch him at the end.
We ended up only staying a little over an hour b/c it just got too cold. Poor Austin was just shivering in the water and we kept expecting it to rain any minute so we packed up and came home. But a great day none the less! :)
Casey is trying in the picture to warm Austin up.
Here is a video montage of Austin sliding down some of the slides. The quality of the videos suck though. Our camera is REALLY on it's last legs so please bear with us until we finally decided to trash this one and buy a new one. :)
