The Baltimore Aquarium

So we FINALLY decided to make the big leap and go to the Baltimore Aquarium. The main reason we have been putting it on hold for so long is the simple yet MAJOR fact that strollers are not allowed at the aquarium. :( They state that on their website you can check your stroller and they will give you either an infant carrier (like a Baby Bjorn) you where across your chest or a big toddler hiking backpack you where on your back. First off...there was NO WAY Austin would ride in the backpack and second...we would end up chasing Austin around the whole time. So we felt that until Austin had made some improvements we would have to put this trip on hold.

Fast forward to now and with all the good improvements Austin has made with safety issues, we decided to give it a try. Knowing though that we would not be able to have our stroller and the fact that their would be a lot of people we knew we needed to come prepared and have SAFETY FIRST. :) So...we joined the club! We are now parents of a child who wears a toddler safety harness! :) They really are so cute these days. Look...Austin has a monkey on his back!

The first 2 pictures are at home. I bought the harness earlier in the week to introduce to Austin and let him be able to play with it and get comfortable with it. We learned a long time ago that you can NEVER spring anything new on Austin. That is a recipe for disaster! So I always make sure to give Austin time to get used to anything new before we attempt to use it for the first time.

Austin was being a goofball here and kept squinting his eye. :)

Walking in the Inner Harbor on our way to the aquarium.

Us with Uncle Chad!

Now the photo quality just goes downhill from here. Our camera is getting to be a little old and doesn't work as well, especially in areas where the lighting is not so good. Here Austin is looking down over the stingray and shark tanks.

Taking a break for snack and looking out into the Inner Harbor.

My sweet boy giving me kisses! :)

Waiting for the dolphins to swim by.

Playing with his new toys he got in the gift shop.

Overall Austin was AMAZING! The harness was really a life saver for us. It gave us peace of mind while letting Austin have some independence. :)
