Memorial Day Weekend

First off...a BIG THANKS to all the men and women who currently serve and/or have served in our military and many government agencies that keep us safe everyday. Bless you all!

We had a fun filled weekend that was very low-key. Our neighborhood pool opened up this weekend for the summer so of course we had to swim. This time of year is always so fun for Austin since he loves the water so much. :)

My parents also celebrated there 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday. Yes...I said 40th! How awesome is that! Casey, Austin, and I took my parents out to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse for an amazing dinner. My parents had never been so it really was a treat for them.

Also this weekend was Rolling Thunder is Washington, DC. The Rolling Thunder organization is primarily made up of veterans who come to DC every Memorial Weekend on their motorcycles to bring awareness to all POW's and MIA's of all wars and to remind the government, media , and public that "We Will Not Forget." It's quite a spectacle going downtown to the National Mall and seeing half a million motorcycles (mostly Harley's) all over the place. The noise is almost deafening! :)

Pastor Rod at Church owns a Harley and so every year he invites any and all members with a motorcycle to ride to Church to support. So Oma and Opa joined in and rode to Church Sunday on Opa's BMW bike. Pretty Cool! :)

Look at that face! Not quite sure what he is thinking. :)

Baby boy is worn out!

On our way home to take a family nap. :)
