There hasn't been much to blog about for a few weeks until today...
Well today Austin got his very first nose bleed! :( He was running and hit the laundry basket (oops...my bad!) in the kitchen and fell and smacked his head on the hardwood floor. He immediately started crying (which is always a bad sign) and when I ran over he had blood coming out of his nose. Poor guy! :( With a little help from the Little Einsteins (thank you Disney), the bleeding stopped quickly.
This got me thinking...Austin seems to be abnormally clumsy. What do you think? He is constantly falling down and getting bumps and bruises. I actually think my very first post for this blog was of Austin falling and his forehead (yes...I said forehead) slamming into a nail-head on the floor.
Austin has also slipped while playing in the basement and his ear hit the train table and split open on the back side. That one was bloody too. :( There was another time when he picked up one of the floor vents (uh ya..why aren't these things nailed done!) and then with one leg fell into the hole up to his hip. His poor leg was badly bruised for weeks. :(
And then we've got the tons of minor bumps and bruises that go along with just being a toddler. Hopefully we will never have anything major that requires a hospital visit. We'll say some prayers for that! :)
Here is a picture from today. It's not real good but you can seem the new bruise on his forehead from falling (minus the bloody nose). :)

I think it is totally normal for kids that age to be clumsy. My son has had a horrible year this past year w/ falling and hitting his head -- one (the first) ended in a trip to the ER and a CAT scan to qualm my fears.
Kaitlynn has started doing that this past year too, more recently. Good grief -- she slipped and fell in Michaels and had a bloody mouth -- she busted that place inside the upper lip w/ there skin attaches it -- holy cow so much blood from that little place!
Keep an eye on it, but I wouldn't worry too much.
