It's been a while since I have given an update on Austin and how he has been doing. We have nothing but good things to report. :)
Let's recap on what we have been doing with Austin...
- gluten-free, casein-free, soy-free, egg-free, peanut-free diet
- various supplements - calcium, multi-vitamin, vitamin D3, zinc, melatonin, digestive enzymes, 2 probiotics, magnesium, Enhansa (immune system booster), folinic acid, Lauricidin (antimicrobial) , iron, cod liver oil
- daily methyl B12 shots
- naltrexone cream
- ABA therapy
As of Dec 24th, we began Fluconazole for continued yeast treatment. WHAT A DIFFERENCE IT HAS MADE! Almost ALL of Austin's gastrointestinal problems have disappeared! Praise God! Austin has been suffering from his GI issues since he was about 6 months old. No matter how many times I questioned his pediatrician, I ALWAYS got the standard answer of, "Well some kids are like that and he will out grow it one day." WHAT??? ARE YOU SERIOUS??? Thank goodness we found Dr. Neubrander who finally could help. :)
We have also been seeing a continued jump in Austin's language. AUSTIN HAS AN OFFICIAL 1ST WORD that he now uses consistently and correctly. It is "OPEN!"
We couldn't be more thrilled with the progress our boy is making. We are SUCH PROUD PARENTS!!! :) We will be beginning some new treatments in the next month so we will keep you updated on how that goes.
This is a video we took about a week ago.
This is a video that was taken today of Austin at school and his teacher sent it to me. He is continuing to make more and more progress. :)

Thanks for sharing! I'm so excited about Austin's words. Wow, what a breakthrough.

I love this video too. The one from is teacher is awesome! You can hear him say all 3 words so clearly. What an amazing little guy!
