SNOW DAY!

So today was the first BIG snow of the year. Casey and I have not been paying much attention to the weather lately b/c we were both shocked when yesterday at church some friends told us that a big snow storm was heading our way and would hit us in the late evening. So we immediately left church and went to the grocery store to get "stocked up" on food in case it was too bad to get out the next day. Sure enough...when we woke up this morning there was about 6+ inches of snow on the ground. WOW!

This picture is taken outside my kitchen window. That big hole between the trees is where Casey's car was before he went to work.
This is the path leading up to my front door. Those are supposed to be azaleas on the left.

This is out on our deck in back. Look at all the snow on the table!

Casey...the good government employee that he is...went into work on time today so no one has to worry about their tax dollars going to waste on him. :)

Here is Austin venturing out into the snow. Look closely...see the wipers on the white truck? They're sticking up. We learned the first winter here in DC that you have to raise your wipers the night before a storm otherwise they stick to the windshield and get ruined. It's funny to look down our street before a snow storm and see all the cars with their wipers up. It looks like they are waving and saying "Hello!".

What is "snow?"
