Today was a LONG day. Last night we had a terrible storm that knocked out power across all of the Mid-Atlantic region. Our power finally came back on about 5am this morning but much of the surrounding neighborhoods and shopping centers have been without power all day.
So we decided to head up to the pool to go swimming b/c we are having record heat for this time of year. But when we got there it was closed b/c the pumps were not working due to the power outages. Holy smokes, Batman! We now had a serious situation on our hands! Austin immediately became upset when we had to turn around and come back home. We rushed back to the house and got the sprinklers going and used Austin's snow sled as a make-shift baby pool. Voila! Major crisis overcome!
Casey and I are quickly mastering the art of improvisation! :)
